Silage

Silage

Good silage management is key to profitable production and there are many important factors that influence silage quality.

BIOMIN experts are trained to advise you on how best to preserve and improve your silage. In addition to management best practices, including a silage inoculant such as Biomin® BioStabil helps achieve better silage quality. Under humid conditions that challenge aerobic stability, Biomin® CleanGrain is applied as a top layer.

Biomin® BioStabil and Biomin® CleanGrain help to:

  • Reduce dry matter losses
  • Maintain silage energy value
  • Prevent or delay the heating up of silage
  • Reduce the breakdown of protein
  • Limit the activity of spoilage organisms like clostridia
  • Improve feed intake
  • Improve milk and meat production
  • Improve your bottom line

Biomin® BioStabil

Biomin® BioStabil

The Biomin® BioStabil product line is a formulation of selected lactic acid bacteria for silage inoculation. These bacteria produce the metabolites lactic acid and acetic acid in a balanced ratio for an improved fermentation process and longer aerobic stability. The drop in pH value and direct effects of acetic acid inhibit unwanted microbes in favor of improved feed quality.
